Comforta acquires Etelä-Karjalan Pesula Oy

Comforta, which is part of the Lindström Group and provides textile services for hotels, restaurants, and healthcare, has acquired the entire share capital and business including personnel of Etelä-Karjalan Pesula Oy, a laundry operating in Lappeenranta, Finland. The acquisition was confirmed on 30 April, 2021.

The acquisition supports Comforta’s target to grow and develop in South Karelia and is in line with the Lindström Group strategy. At the same time, it strengthens the company’s position and expertise especially in the healthcare industry, which Comforta has defined as one of its strategic focus industries.

“South Karelia is a region where Lindström has been looking for an opportunity to gain a foothold. Our goal is to further grow and develop our Lappeenranta service center, and we plan to invest significantly in the area in the next few years. We also look forward to gaining more understanding in the healthcare industry that we could use to further develop the industry in the future,” notes Pasi Saarinen, Vice President of Lindström Finland.
