Celebrating a milestone in Vietnam
We have officially opened our first facility in Vietnam, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, and in entire Southeast Asia. The opening ceremony highlighted our dedication to sustainable practices and supporting the international growth of businesses in Vietnam. We also launched our collaboration with ActionAid Vietnam.
The opening event was supported by the Embassy of Vietnam. Ms Saramaria Kalkku, Deputy Head of Mission, highlighted the key role businesses play in driving the sustainability agenda:
“Finland has consistently been ranked as the happiest nation in the world for eight consecutive years. This achievement reflects not only Finland’s strong social values but also the commitment of Finnish businesses to fostering workplace happiness and employee well-being.”
She added that Finland and Vietnam share ambitious carbon neutrality goals, and businesses are instrumental in achieving these targets. Finnish companies are widely recognised for promoting sustainable practices and actively reducing emissions.
“Lindström supports this agenda with its circular economy-based solutions and climate commitments,” Ms. Kalkku said. “Beyond environmental sustainability, Lindström contributes to healthier workplaces and business growth by providing high-quality workwear that meets international hygiene and safety standards,” Ms Kalkku said.

Circular economy and beyond
We are the first company in Vietnam to introduce a circular economy-based workwear rental model in Vietnam. However, our ambition goes beyond the circular economy.
“While the circular economy is at the heart of our service, sustainability means much more to us,” says Mr Juha Laurio, CEO of Lindström Group. “We take a holistic approach that covers environmental, social, and economic aspects. By optimising resource use, we enhance the cost-efficiency of our services. By investing in employee well-being and happiness, we improve customer experiences. And by providing workwear that meets international hygiene and safety standards, we support the international growth of our customers while ensuring the health and well-being of their employees and surrounding communities.”

Partnership with ActionAid Vietnam
During the evening event, we announced our collaboration with ActionAid Vietnam to support the ‘Water Access Promotes Happy School’ project. The initiative aims to improve access to clean water and raise awareness about hygiene and climate change. The project will directly benefit 5,000 children across six schools in Trà Vinh City, a region severely affected by climate change and saline intrusion.
Ms. Hoàng Phương Thảo, ActionAid Vietnam Country Director from ActionAid Vietnam shares her views of the partnership.
“This collaboration not only strengthens but also establishes a model for businesses to contribute positively to sustainable development in Vietnam. We encourage and support companies in integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into their operations through concrete projects, generating both short-term and long-term changes, ensuring a sustainable future for all.”
