Lindström South Korea expands into larger workwear service unit
Lindström is expanding its business in South Korea by opening a new unit in Pyeongtaek and doubling its production capacity. Specifically built to cater to Lindström’s growing customer base in the country, the new service center spans over 2000 square meters and will provide and maintain workwear for customers in multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, food processing & electronics. The expansion is expected to provide employment opportunities for 50 new professionals.

I believe that one of the factors why Korea is such a successful country is that Korean business leaders are eager to adapt new business models and ways of working. We are proud to say that our services have been welcomed by these companies, and besides making our customer’s life easier, we are committed to supporting their sustainability goals.”
Lindström opened its office in Korea in 2015 and offers end-to-end workwear solutions, providing appropriate workwear as per the requirements of the company and ensuring that employees always have enough clean workwear available. With the expansion to the new factory, we can now service up to 100,000 pieces of workwear per month. The facility is designed to guarantee the safety and quality of the service. In terms of hygiene management, regular inspections are conducted according to the European textile standards to ensure the quality of our service.”
Congratulating on the opening of the new unit in Pyeongtaek, Finland’s Ambassador to Korea Pekka Metso stated: “It’s surprising that the history of the Lindström Group, now 175 years old, is longer than the history of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Finland in 1973.” He added that the trade relations between Korea and Finland have seen an increase in recent times and with Lindström expanding business in Korea further improves trade relations.
