Bringing greater transparency to emissions data in our online portal
Our customers can now monitor the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of their Lindström service via the eLindström online portal.
“This new feature provides a reliable emissions estimate, helping customers with sustainability reporting,” says Angad Roy, Sustainability Specialist who is responsible for Lindström’s greenhouse gas calculations.
Our GHG calculations follow the GHG Protocol guidance, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Additionally, an independent third party audits our annual emissions data as part of our sustainability reporting process.
We use an emission intensity metric, which measures greenhouse gas emissions relative to turnover. The annual emissions attributed to each company are based on the total amount invoiced over the year.
To help align with corporate sustainability objectives, customers can view emissions broken down into different categories and scopes. We update and improve this data annually as part of our reporting process. “While these calculations are not full life cycle assessments, they offer a clear overview of our services’ emissions,” Roy explains.
The new feature enhances transparency as we work toward halving our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. “We continue improving data accuracy to better support our customers’ sustainability reporting and environmental impact assessments” Roy adds.
