Linnanmäki: “We are all proud of the end result”
“We used our earlier workwear collection for a whopping eight years. Even though the collection had stood the test of time very well, fashion and colour trends had changed a lot over the ensuing years. We also wanted our workwear to have a consistent appearance,” notes Pia Adlivankin, Managing Director of Linnanmäki.
Linnanmäki Amusement Park has over 600 employees. For this reason, it is important that the clothing is suitable for different kinds of work and the sizes fit as many people as possible. “We first considered street-style clothing, but practicality, comfort and fit were deemed much more important,” Adlivankin recalls.
They also wanted the workwear to reflect the atmosphere of Linnanmäki Amusement Park and to have a fun twist, which is now manifested by means of colours; the clothes feature an embroidered ‘Hyrrä’ design, created by Ivana Helsinki and is used in Linnanmäki’s marketing.
Involving end-users in the process
“We wanted to be certain that our employees would like the workwear. That’s why we involved the staff in the design process. All the clothes have been tested by the users and modified according to the feedback,” Adlivankin shares happily.
Linnanmäki’s season begins in April and ends in October. The models and sizing have been designed so that the clothes can easily be combined in layers to suit the weather conditions. New items in the workwear collection include shorts and softshell jackets, various caps and hats, and an apron.
“For us, fun and stylishness as well as recognisability were the key criteria for the workwear. I think we have really succeeded in this. I believe that our staff will take pride in the new workwear, and this will also be reflected in the customer service.”
According to Adlivankin, the co-operation with Lindström has been excellent. “What I have particularly enjoyed in the co-operation is the fact that Lindström has approached the task enthusiastically and has strived to find creative solutions in a customer-oriented manner. I believe that we are all satisfied and proud of the results.”
