A rewarding year for Lindström China

Our team in China confronted the large-scale disruption caused by the global pandemic with operational excellence and sheer determination to serve our customers. Alongside the COVID-19 chaos, they were also undergoing massive transformations that followed a milestone acquisition in autumn 2020. Evidently, that did not deter Lindström China in any way.

The China Laundry Association under the China General Chamber of Commerce recognized Team China as ‘the advanced group of the national washing and dyeing industry in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020′. The team was honoured with this title for their deep social commitment towards the fight against COVID-19 and were projected as role models for other organisations in our industry.

Novo Nordisk, the world’s leading biopharmaceutical giant, named us their ‘Best Service Partner, 2020’, from a total of more than 400 suppliers. This award aimed to acknowledge our exceptional services to ensure business continuity at the peak of the pandemic. Another feather in our cap was Pfizer’s ‘supplier award 2020’. We were acknowledged for our seamless and uninterrupted service against all adversities. These expressions of appreciation came well in time for our team China that worked tirelessly to ensure continued production amidst shutdowns, lockdowns and battling against the high risk of contamination.

“Being recognized for customer-centricity while battling unprecedented challenges, every step of the way is something to be cherished. With China being one of our group’s key focus markets, this kind of recognition by our customer and the accompanied learnings motivate us to continuously develop our customer journey further,” notes Anupam Chakrabarty, Senior Vice President, Asia.

We entered the Chinese market in 2006 and have grown both in terms of organic growth as well as through mergers and acquisitions. The recent acquisitions enabled us to almost double our business size, turnover, and personnel. We grew from four service centres to eight in 2020, which means greater geographical coverage in serving our customers along with a broader service offering.

We offer circular and easy-to-use textile services.
