Looking Back at Our Journey
2026 marks an important milestone for Lindström as we celebrate 25 years of operating in the UK.
Since Lindström UK began in 2001, the business has grown and changed considerably. New services, locations and teams have become part of the UK operation, helping us support customers across the country with textile services built around their everyday needs.
But a 25-year anniversary is about more than business growth. It is also an opportunity to recognise the people who have been part of the Lindström UK story.
25 years shaped by our people
Over the years, many people have contributed to the development of Lindström UK.
That includes the colleagues working across the business today, as well as former colleagues whose knowledge, hard work and experience helped build the foundations we continue to work from.
Teams across our laundries, service operations, customer service, sales and support functions have all played their part. Some colleagues have been with the business for many years, while others have joined more recently and are now helping to shape its next chapter.
Our anniversary gave us the chance to recognise those contributions, past and present, and to reflect on how much has changed since 2001.
Celebrating together across the UK
In September, colleagues came together across our UK locations to celebrate the anniversary.
Teams in Bedford, Bradford, Manchester, East Kilbride, Nailsworth and Northampton were able to spend time together, share lunch and mark the milestone with colleagues from across the business.
Each colleague also received a small 25-year anniversary gift bag, including Lindström socks, anniversary stickers and a keyring created from retired Lindström workwear.
The recycled workwear keyrings were produced with DobroDílo in the Czech Republic, a charity that supports people with disabilities through meaningful work. The project also gives textiles that have reached the end of their original use another purpose, reflecting Lindström’s wider approach to extending the life of textiles and reducing waste.
More than one day of celebrations
Our 25th anniversary has been marked through activities across the year rather than just one celebration.
Colleagues took part in a 25km challenge, supporting charity while recognising our 25-year milestone.
Our Bradford team also headed out into the local community for the Big Bradford Clean Up, collecting around 35kg of rubbish.
We also supported a local school through mock interview sessions, with colleagues giving students the opportunity to practise their interview skills and gain experience speaking with people from the world of work.
These activities gave teams different ways to get involved while recognising the communities around us. Learn more.
Looking back and looking ahead
Twenty-five years provides plenty to look back on, from the development of our UK operations to the customers, colleagues and communities we have worked with along the way.
It also gives us the opportunity to recognise that Lindström UK has been shaped by many different people over that time. Every team and every generation of colleagues has contributed something to the business we have today.
