From Repairs to Production Coordinator: Violeta Tepic’s Career Story
A practical start, and a new country ahead
Violeta’s route into Lindström began with a simple match of skills and timing. With education in Textiles that included sewing and repairs, she heard about an opportunity through family connections and a recommendation.
Not long after applying for the role, she interviewed and joined the team in 2015, stepping into a laundry that had plenty of hands in production but a real need for people who could confidently handle repairs.

Finding momentum in variety
From the beginning, Violeta was drawn to the pace and variety of work in production. Her first role centred on folding, inspection, and repairs, and she quickly expanded her skills into other areas of the laundry, including soil sorting and packing. Over time, packing became a key part of her day, but she still steps into repairs whenever needed.
What stood out to her was that the work stayed interesting because every shift brought something slightly different. As she describes it, “every day, actually, it’s the same day but still different.”
Learning beyond the job title
Professionally, Violeta developed a broad understanding of production flow, from sorting through to packing, and she became known for helping others connect the dots. Personally, one of her biggest changes has been confidence with people. Naturally introverted, she came from work where she was largely on her own, having previously been a hairdresser and running appointments and services independently. Lindström gave her a more team-based environment, helping her build stronger day-to-day interaction across colleagues and departments.
When asked what matters most in her work, she returns to three principles: responsibility, care, and having a sense of purpose in what you do.
The message she shares with new starters
Violeta’s advice is calm and practical, shaped by years of training and supporting others. “Give yourself time,” she says, because it takes a while to understand how everything fits together, and it is normal not to remember everything during induction. She encourages people not to put pressure on themselves early on, because confidence comes through repetition and support.
Beyond the Laundry Room
Outside of work, Violeta is very family oriented and likes to keep her free time calm and purposeful. She enjoys visiting and discovering new places, and she says she is still exploring parts of the UK. Reading is a favourite, especially when she has quiet time to herself, and she also enjoys getting outdoors, whether that is gardening or spending time in parks and nature.
In Summary
Violeta’s story is a clear example of what steady growth can look like at Lindström: bringing your skills, staying curious, learning across different tasks, and earning trust through responsibility and care. If you want a workplace where you can build confidence over time, be supported by strong colleagues, and develop into new roles as you grow, Lindström is a place where that journey is genuinely possible.
