Threads reshaped for a net-zero future
Decisions for a better tomorrow
Guided by our purpose we have made a commitment that will guide our decisions for the next decades. We aim to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions every year and halve our greenhouse emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050 across our value chain. Our targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative to ensure that they are aligned with the latest climate science.
The journey to net-zero has started
We have calculated our greenhouse gas emissions and identified that textiles, energy & electricity and customer deliveries cover almost 70% of our emissions. We have also identified the actions that help us reduce their emissions. Those impact on which material, where and how our textiles are produced. They guide all our service centers to improve energy efficiency and waste heat utilisation as well as to switch to renewable energy and electricity sources. And they also encourage to explore more sustainable alternatives for customer deliveries.
Striving towards our target
