Lindstrom’s Journey to carbon neutrality

April 22 marks the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection in recent years, more and more enterprises have begun to join the cause of sustainable development. Lindstrom has a strong commitment to sustainable development and has announced the strategic goal of providing carbon-free textile services to our customers by 2035 and has taken various forms to implement circular economy in all areas of our business.

The recycling of work clothes

Lindstrom applied the idea of recycling to all aspects of work clothes, including the development and design of work clothes with durable fabrics, the repeated use of work clothes in the form of rental, prolong the service life of work clothes through professional maintenance and cleaning, recycling at the end of the product life and so on. We believe that the recycling of work clothes can not only reduce carbon emissions in all links, but also help our customers save costs and improve economic benefits.

On-demand production

Lindstrom has always adhered to the principle of production on demand, avoiding the waste of resources caused by excessive production. In order to keep track of customers’ demand for textiles in real time, we developed an online service platform eLindstrom to facilitate customers to place orders at any time. For existing product resources, Lindstrom allows textiles to be recycled and fully utilized through leasing, avoiding inventory accumulation.

Low carbon service, save resources

As a one-stop partner, Lindstrom will implement low-carbon strategy throughout the service process. We optimize the delivery route scientifically to reduce the carbon emissions generated in the logistics process; By adjusting the temperature and time of service cleaning, water and energy are efficiently used and more resources are saved for the earth.

Towards carbon neutrality

Compared to 2004, we have succeeded in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from textile cleaning by 30%. In the next 15 years, we will further implement sustainable development and continue to optimize our services to achieve the strategic goal of carbon neutrality and provide more sustainable textile services to our customers.
