Какъв е екологичният отпечатък на услугите с работно облекло?

Fast Fun Facts! Here’s How Workwear Rental Services Compare in Environmental Impact to Taking a Shower or Watching TV

Have you ever wondered what your carbon footprint is? We’re guessing that many of us haven’t really thought about it, even though CO2 emissions are recognized as the biggest factor in climate change.

Often, when looking for a reliable partner, it is even more difficult to understand how much CO 2 emissions companies emit into the air.

In the infographic below, we have put together some interesting facts about industrial laundry compared to everyday activities like taking a shower, driving a car or watching TV. We hope it will inspire you to make better choices and deepen your knowledge about our own carbon footprint.

But before you proceed to a more in-depth look at the infographic, here are a few quick tips you might want to consider:*

  • To provide work clothes for one worker for one year, industrial laundry has a total carbon footprint of 46 kg. CO 2 . For comparison, a 90 cm plasma TV operating 6.5 hours a day for 1 year has a carbon footprint of 269 kg. CO 2 .
  • On average, workwear will go through 47 wash cycles before it needs to be replaced. In comparison, the environmental impact of sourcing new work textiles is 22 times higher than the impact of washing these garments once.

The calculation of our own CO 2 footprint is based on the methodology of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. This protocol sets the global standard for how to measure, manage and report greenhouse gas emissions.
