The importance of personal hygiene is growing globally, as a result, Lindström has launched a new service to support businesses and strengthen personal hygiene measures through a comprehensive service with reusable face masks.

In the current global situation of the coronavirus pandemic, the importance of personal hygiene is becoming increasingly important. Since there is currently no cure for the newly discovered coronavirus, the only way to prevent or slow its spread is to protect people from getting infected in the first place. This can mainly be done by supporting their efforts to increase their hygiene, wash their hands more often and help them be more careful when they are around other people. Lindström’s comprehensive service with reusable face masks aims to help in this direction. The textile mask will help people protect themselves when touching their face, which is actually a main source of infection, and in this context the mask acts as a barrier to droplets of saliva from the mouth or nasal secretions when sneezing and coughing.

The key here is the multiple use of textile masks, which is not only a sustainable but also a hygienic solution, as we will take care of washing the masks in our certified laundries and return them to their users sanitized and clean, ready for reuse,” comments Marita Vuohenslao, Vice President of the workwear rental service.

The comprehensive service with reusable face masks is aimed at companies with employees working in important industries, such as food, pharmaceutical, retail, etc.

The reusable mask should not be considered a medical device or personal protective equipment, as it has no proven protective functions. The service will be available in all countries with Lindström operations, both in Europe and Asia.
