New Lindström service centre in Pune, India

The textile service group Lindström continues its investments in India. The Pune service centre is Lindström’s tenth service centre in India.

“Pune is one of India’s most important industrial centres, and many significant automobile, pharmaceutical and food industry companies operate there. From Pune, we can also serve our customers in the neighbouring cities, such as Aurangabad,” says Lindström Managing Director Juha Laurio.

Lindström started offering workwear services in India in 2007. The company currently has service centres in ten cities: Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Panchkula, Vadodara, Tinsukia and Pune.

The Pune service centre was commissioned at the beginning of June. It employs approximately 20 people. In total, Lindström employs approximately 350 people in India. Lindström aims to build a service network in India that covers all the major cities.

“India is currently one of our fastest growing markets. Our customers’ need for professionally maintained workwear grows year by year due to stricter hygiene requirements, for example. We have grown strongly, and our annual growth is currently around 45 per cent,” Juha Laurio says.

Lindström offers textile services for businesses in 23 countries and provides clothes for over one million people daily worldwide. An increasing amount of Lindström’s turnover comes from its international operations.
