NXP Semiconductors, in collaboration with Elektrobit, has co-developed a software platform that can support NXP\u2019s high-voltage battery management system (HVBMS) reference design.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Elektrobit is a wholly-owned, independently-operated subsidiary of Continental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Elektrobit\u2019s Classic AUTOSAR tooling and software, the new software platform of the HVBMS reference design makes the development of HVBMS architectures for electric vehicles (EVs) easier by abstracting the communication and controlling interactions between the BMS microcontroller and the battery cell controllers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The software aims to reduce the entry-level cost of battery management system (BMS) development and enhance the ease of use of NXP\u2019s high-voltage BMS reference design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As demand for battery-powered cars (EVs) continues to increase, so does the demand for improved performance, faster charging time, increased range and battery life, and improved safety.
