Andrew Giblin joined Lindstr\u00f6m in 2015, following the transition from BTS, bringing with him years of frontline experience and a practical, get it done mindset. Before Lindstr\u00f6m, he had already worked in a management role, leading teams and coordinating drivers, so stepping into a Scotland based operation felt like a natural fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Andrew helps keep the Scottish operation running smoothly alongside a tight team. With only a few people on site, the role is varied by design. He manages day to day priorities, supports colleagues, and keeps standards consistent as the operation evolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That variety also means he often wears more than one hat. He covers routes when needed, keeps the site in good order, and handles the admin that helps the wider service stay reliable and responsive. It is a role built on momentum and consistency, where small actions day to day add up to strong service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest shifts Andrew has seen is the growing need for confidence with systems and digital processes. Over time, he has built up stronger knowledge of computer-based tasks, planning, audits, and the routines that keep everything traceable and compliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is open about how learning works best for him: by asking questions, getting shown the right way, and then repeating the process until it sticks. That mindset has helped him stay adaptable, even when tasks are occasional and easy to forget if you have not done them for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building connection and looking ahead<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Andrew gets a real lift from welcoming new customers, because growth in Scotland matters to him. He wants the site to feel more connected to the wider business and to keep building momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His approach is straightforward – if something needs doing, he steps in and gets it moving, while also staying connected with colleagues in Bradford who support with knowledge and quick answers when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two lessons that shape his approach<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Andrew\u2019s advice for new starters is clear: \u201cNever be afraid to ask for help.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has also learned how to manage workload in a way that keeps standards high and pressure under control: \u201cI focus on what I can complete today, and I plan the rest properly so nothing gets missed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the route<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Outside of work, Andrew is proudest of the role he plays at home. He is a hands on grandad who values family time, and he is equally happy spending time with his dog, getting out for walks and switching off after a busy week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
